These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the terms of use of this website, form the agreement between you (the renter) and Keaboo for the car rental search and booking services we provide. Bookings made through Keaboo are processed via our booking partner, who acts as the broker between you and the car rental supplier. Our booking partner is not the car rental supplier — your rental contract is with the supplier directly, and their own terms also apply to your booking.
By searching, comparing, or completing a booking on Keaboo, you confirm that you’ve read and accept these Terms, along with the terms of the supplier you’re booking with. These Terms may be updated from time to time, so we’d recommend checking back periodically. If you don’t agree with any part of these Terms, please don’t proceed with a booking.
A rental contract at the quoted price only exists once your booking is confirmed and payment has been received — quoting a price is not itself a confirmed booking. If your exact car isn’t available, our booking partner will offer alternatives; if you don’t accept them, your deposit (if any) will be refunded and the booking cancelled. Your confirmation voucher must be presented to the supplier at pickup — a rejected rental due to a missing voucher isn’t Keaboo’s or our booking partner’s responsibility.
Depending on the supplier, you may pay a deposit with the balance due on arrival, a deposit with the balance prepaid, full prepayment, or pay-later. Suppliers commonly also take a separate security deposit at the counter, held against damage, fuel, and other charges, released once the car is returned in its original condition. You’ll need a valid credit card in the main driver’s name — insufficient funds or a missing card can result in the supplier refusing the rental, with no refund from us.
To request a change or cancellation, contact our support team — the supplier has final discretion on whether a change can be accommodated.
You can optionally add Full Protection Cover or Extra Cover to reduce out-of-pocket costs for deposit deductions, minor body/tyre/glass damage, lost keys, towing, and similar events, up to set per-item limits. Neither product replaces the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) included by the supplier — they compensate you separately, up to the deposit/excess actually charged. Full inclusions, exclusions, and claims requirements are in the detailed section below; claims must generally be filed within 28 days of drop-off.
Some costs are set and collected by the supplier directly rather than through Keaboo — this can include fuel, tolls, out-of-hours delivery/collection fees, one-way drop-off fees, additional driver fees, and extras like child seats or GPS. Age restrictions typically apply too (commonly minimum 21, with surcharges under 25 or over 65, varying by supplier and country). Always check the specific supplier’s terms shown at booking for exact charges that apply to you.
Keaboo and our booking partner act only as facilitators between you and the rental supplier — we’re not liable for the supplier’s performance, the vehicle’s condition, or disputes arising at the counter, beyond the amount of any deposit paid through us. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, etc.). Where such an event lasts more than 14 consecutive days, a booking may be withdrawn with a refund of amounts paid prior to that event.
Vehicle quality or service issues should be reported to the supplier at the time, and to our support team as soon as possible — delayed reports are harder for us to assess. Vehicle model and specifications shown at booking are indicative and may be substituted by the supplier. These Terms are subject to change without notice; continued use of Keaboo after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Contact UsThis legal notice is issued on behalf of Keaboo.com, the owner and operator of Keaboo.com (“we”, “us”, “Keaboo”). Bookings made through this website are processed via our booking partner, who acts as broker between you (the renter) and the car rental supplier. These Terms and Conditions, together with the Terms and Conditions of use of this website and our Privacy Policy, comprise the agreement between you and Keaboo and our booking partner for the deals and services provided in organizing your car rental, to the exclusion of all other terms. No conduct by Keaboo or our booking partner shall be considered approval of any other terms. Proceeding with a booking, or signing any related contract, is conclusive confirmation of your acceptance of these Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions may be changed from time to time; you should check this page periodically for updates. Any car hire service you use is also subject to the terms and conditions enforced by the supplier, together with the laws of the country or state in which the rental takes place.
Suppliers, with our booking partner acting as broker, provide the vehicle to you, the renter. Any booking made through this website is subject to these Terms and to your acceptance of the relevant supplier’s own terms — make sure you review both. If you do not approve any part of these Terms, you must not proceed with a booking. By completing a booking, you confirm you have read and accept the relevant Terms.
Our booking partner will notify you of vehicle availability by emailing a booking confirmation voucher once your offer is accepted. If your requested car type or model isn’t available with the supplier, you’ll be offered alternatives; if accepted, your booking will be updated accordingly and resent to the supplier. If not accepted, the booking may be cancelled and any deposit refunded. Even where availability can’t be guaranteed upfront, reasonable efforts will be made to confirm the outcome within 48 hours of your request.
You will not have a confirmed rental contract at the quoted price until your booking is confirmed and payment received. Any contract formed is with the individual who made the booking, and correspondence is sent to that person’s contact details, even where a third party pays for the rental. You must present your voucher to the supplier at pickup — Our booking partner is not liable for a rejected rental caused by failure to present the voucher.
Neither Keaboo nor our booking partner accept responsibility for charges arising from documents signed at the local rental desk. Damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, off-road driving, or careless driving is the renter’s full responsibility.
If the supplier provides a different vehicle than originally booked (of higher or lower value), or refuses to provide the booked vehicle, this should be resolved directly with the supplier at the pickup location — Our booking partner is not liable for such inconvenience. Our booking partner acts only as a broker between renter and supplier; by booking, you agree not to hold our booking partner responsible for damages, extra charges, or expenses beyond the rental cost, whether caused by you or the supplier. Where our booking partner is responsible for a refund, its liability is limited to the deposit paid online at the time of booking.
CDW reduces your legal responsibility for damage costs to a surplus/excess amount, except where damage is intentional, caused under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or results from negligent use (e.g. renting to other parties, driving off main roads). Some destinations exclude windscreens, undercarriage, replacement keys, tyres, towing charges, or replacement locks from CDW cover — check exclusions with the supplier at collection.
Theft Waiver reduces your legal responsibility in the event of theft or attempted theft. Negligence linked to the theft may still result in the supplier seeking the full vehicle cost from you. Check whether TW is inclusive of all charges or requires extra payment with your specific supplier before booking.
Charges may apply for delivery/collection outside normal office hours, even where the delay results from a flight delay. Most locations offer delivery/collection to and from accommodation (a charge may apply), but not to private accommodation. Full address and delivery time details must be provided at booking.
Vehicles can often be supplied outside normal working hours to match flight timings, at an additional local charge payable to the supplier. Where a flight delay pushes pickup outside normal hours and no out-of-hours service is available at that location, Keaboo and our booking partner accept no further liability.
PAI is optional and may already be included in your travel insurance. Check with the supplier before booking, or purchase PAI directly on collection of your rental car.
Suppliers commonly require a deposit — typically a valid credit card in the driver’s name — to cover excess liability, fuel, and other rental charges. This deposit is refundable if the car and accessories are returned in original condition per the fuel policy. Some suppliers use a “full-to-empty” fuel policy with no refund for unused fuel — confirm this with the supplier before booking. The supplier may block a security amount at pickup, released once the car is returned in agreed condition. Insufficient card funds may result in the supplier refusing the rental, with no refund from us.
The general minimum age for car hire is 21, with surcharges commonly applying for drivers under 25 or over 65, depending on supplier and country. Refer to the specific supplier’s terms for exact age-related charges, or contact our team with questions.
Charges for additional drivers vary by supplier — check the relevant supplier’s terms and conditions.
Rental periods are typically calculated on a 24-hour cycle. Extensions and late returns are charged at the supplier’s local tariff, which is usually higher than the standard booked rate.
Your rental period runs according to the pickup/drop-off details on your voucher. Extending your rental, or returning later than stated, should be arranged directly with the supplier and is charged at their local rates. There is no refund for early returns. Late-return charges, where applicable, are payable to the supplier upon return.
One-way rentals may carry a drop-off charge, payable to the supplier. Approximate costs are confirmed once your booking request is reviewed with the supplier; charges vary depending on the drop-off location and supplier, and will be shown on your confirmation voucher. Contact the supplier directly for further detail.
Child seats, roof racks, and similar extras can usually be requested but aren’t guaranteed to be available, and typically carry a supplier fee. In many US states, child seats are legally required. Rear seat belts may not be fitted in all vehicles. Confirm special requests directly with the supplier.
If you plan to drive between countries or states, inform us at the time of booking — cross-border travel carries its own restrictions, documentation requirements, and possible local charges that vary by supplier. Review the “Rental Terms” for your specific listing, or contact us for guidance.
Prices for optional extras may exclude applicable taxes.
Terms for changes vary by supplier — review them before booking. To request a cancellation or change, contact our support team; we will relay the request to the supplier, who has final discretion to accept or deny it based on availability. Keaboo and our booking partner are not responsible for a supplier’s refusal to accommodate a change.
Occasionally the supplier or our booking partner may need to change a confirmed booking — you’ll be notified as soon as possible. If the change isn’t acceptable to you, your deposit paid to our booking partner will be refunded, though we hold no further liability for any resulting direct or indirect loss. Our booking partner may terminate a booking at any time with notice, for reasons including technical/system error or unforeseen circumstances; where a rental has already begun with the supplier, the renter must return the vehicle to the nearest possible location, and will only be charged for days actually used.
At booking, provide accurate details including flight number, local address, phone number, and arrival time. Your voucher is typically issued within 48 hours of a completed booking request. At pickup, you’ll need your confirmation voucher, a valid driving licence (plus international permit where required), a credit card in the renter’s name, and in some cases a passport. Rejections due to missing or insufficient documentation are treated as a “No Show,” with no refund.
Requirements vary by country — check the “Rental Terms” shown against each listing. A valid driving licence is required in all cases; an international driving permit does not replace it, only supplements it where required. Licence endorsements must be disclosed at booking, and our booking partner may decline a booking in line with supplier policy. Suppliers may refuse refunds where a valid licence isn’t produced at pickup.
Vehicle specification data (including seating capacity) is provided by the supplier; any discrepancy at pickup should be raised with the supplier directly, not Keaboo or our booking partner. Vehicle images/models shown at booking are indicative and may be substituted for an equivalent or upgraded model by the supplier.
Suppliers may refuse to provide a vehicle to anyone they consider unfit to drive or who doesn’t meet their requirements. Keaboo and our booking partner are not responsible for compensation, cost, or refunds arising from such a refusal.
If you’re dissatisfied with the vehicle or service, report it to the supplier at the time, and to us as soon as possible — delayed reports are difficult to assess retrospectively.
In the event of a breakdown, contact the supplier immediately. In the event of an accident, contact the supplier and local police immediately, and keep any relevant documentation for insurance purposes. Your rental is subject to the supplier’s terms, these Terms, and local law. Neither Keaboo nor our booking partner is liable for damage, delay, or loss arising from events outside reasonable control — industrial disputes, air traffic control issues, civil unrest, technical transport problems, terrorism, fire, adverse weather, airport/port closures, natural or nuclear disaster, or airline failure/cancellation.
Placing a booking request (by phone or on-site) constitutes a purchase offer on your part. Our booking partner accepts this offer upon receipt of the required payment. Our booking partner acts solely as broker/facilitator for your booking with the relevant supplier. The total rental amount includes the supplier’s rental cost, our booking partner’s service charge, and applicable taxes.
Neither Keaboo nor our booking partner is liable for a delay or failure to perform obligations caused by force majeure — any event beyond reasonable control. Where force majeure persists for more than 14 consecutive days, our booking partner may terminate the booking, notifying you and refunding amounts paid prior to that event.
Non-Refundable bookings carry no refund on cancellation, regardless of timing, and Cancellation Protection does not apply to them.
Failing to pick up the car after booking it (“No Show”) means no refund is issued.
A last-minute cancellation made at the rental desk itself is treated as a No Show and is non-refundable.
You may ask for a different vehicle at the desk, but the supplier has final discretion based on availability, and additional charges (payable at the desk) may apply if accepted.
Full Protection Cover is an optional purchase that reimburses you for the deductible/excess charged by the supplier under your rental agreement, up to the Full Protection Cover limit shown at booking and on your confirmation voucher (the limit varies by contract, supplier, car type, and destination). It is not a replacement for CDW — Keaboo and our booking partner are not responsible if CDW isn’t included in your rental price by the supplier. It can be purchased at booking or any time before pickup.
Submit your claim to our support team with a detailed report of the incident, along with:
Claims must be filed within 28 days of the drop-off date with all supporting documents, or they may be rejected. Investigation may take up to 28 calendar days. Failure to notify within 28 days results in rejection, regardless of documentation. Fraudulent or misleading claims void the cover entirely, and any amount already paid out must be repaid. Multiple claims for the same damage across different protection instruments (credit card cover, personal insurance, desk insurance, etc.) are not permitted — if a claim has already been made elsewhere, Full Protection Cover cannot also be claimed for the same damage.
You may cancel Full Protection Cover any time before pickup, and may request an extension if your rental is extended, by contacting support via chat, call, or email. We reserve the right to cancel this cover, or any related claim, without refund, in cases of fraud or abusive/threatening conduct toward staff.
Extra Cover is a lighter-weight optional purchase covering roadside assistance, exterior body/tyre/wheel/undercarriage/glass/mirror/lock repairs, towing/taxi costs from a breakdown, lost-key/lock-out charges, and related administrative fees. Like Full Protection Cover, it is not a substitute for CDW, can be purchased at booking or any time before pickup, and can be cancelled or extended by contacting support.
Submit your claim to our support team with a report of the incident and:
The same 28-day filing window, investigation period, and anti-fraud terms described above for Full Protection Cover apply here too.
Where insurance is purchased through RentalCover.com, claims are settled solely by RentalCover.com’s own insurance underwriters. Our booking partner acts only as a facilitator introducing you to RentalCover.com and holds no responsibility for handling those claims.
Arriving late at the rental counter without prior notice may be treated as a No Show, and the supplier may cancel your booking at their discretion due to demand. Providing flight details at booking helps the supplier account for delays — Keaboo and our booking partner are not liable for a No Show or cancellation caused by a late, unnotified arrival.
